In the savannah, near streams, or in lowland rainforests.

Morphology

Multiple trunks, sometimes a solitary trunk, 2 to 20 m tall and 1.4-7.5 cm in diameter. Between 4 and 10 leaves divided into 80-120 leaflets. Globular or ovoid fruits, brown to reddish in colour.

Growing

The main requirement is water and lots of it. It also likes full sun, and warmth in winter. Once they get established, they appear to be very vigorous growers.
