Origin
Dominican Republic.
Habitat
Grows only in the mountain Martín García, in the southeastern coast, from sea level to 200 m of altitude.
Morphology
The trunk may reach 12 m tall and 6 to 8 cm in diameter.

Tropical.

Very rare in cultivation. Requires full sun, excellent drainage, and tropical temperatures. Drought and salt tolerant.
