Origin
Mexico.
Habitat
Desert areas of Central Mexico at 1800 m above sea level.
Morphology
Leaves have a silvery colour, brighter than those of B. armata var. clara, and are more similar to a variety of B. nitida. The leaflets are smooth, without spines, and inflorescences are long and arched.
Climate
Tropical to temperate.
Germination
Seed germination is easy; fresh seeds germinate fast.
Growing
As most of the desert palms, it can tolerate extreme hot and cold temperatures, and is drought and frost resistant. Cultivation is now being extended due to its beauty and characteristics.
