Morphology

A massive trunk with a slight swelling in the middle, light grey, with scars of fallen leaves every 30 cm more or less, indicating its growing rate. Enormous bipinnate leaves, extremely beautiful when seen from down. Leaflets have a triangular shape, with irregular margins. Fruit almost black, with calcium oxalates in flesh.

Climate

Subtropical to tropical.

Germination

Seeds germinate quickly when fresh.

Growing

Can be grown in full sun or light shade. Keep soil moist, needs good drainage.
