Habitat
Grows in hills, fields and forest.
Morphology
Can reach 18 m of height. The trunk is more prominent than in R. regia. It has an expanded crown. Narrow leaves, the leaflets growing from rachis in 2 planes giving the plant a plumose appearance. Fruit ovoid, purple to brown-yellow.
Climate
Tropical. Cold sensitive.
Germination
Seeds germinate after 1-4 months.
Growing
Needs warm and plenty of water. Rarely seen in cultivation.
