Habitat
Grows on calcareous and sandy soils, often in residual forests tramsformed in pastures.
Morphology
A single trunk. Around 25 leaves with 70 to 110 leaflets bearing many threads. Inflorescences branched in 3 orders. Pear-shaped fruits that can be sometimes almost globular.
Climate
Tropical, but can adapt to warm temperate climate.

Needs full sun and moderate water. Slow growing.
